the interview went a little off it wasn't how i thought it would be
first off it was only 15mins
one the of employees had me watch a 10min video about Petsmart then she asked me one question Tell me about yourself so i did and she acted like what i was saying wasn't true like all the animals i had i didn't really have them she was really rude then on top of that she had other employees in the room with us and they were eating there lunch and talking about what they were gonna do this weekend and here i am trying to talk to her and at the same time trying to tune the other employees out while they are talking about going skate boarding
then after i told her about myself she had papers in front of her like a check list and she didn't even do that... all she did was say
Well the manager just went on vacation and she wont be back until the 11th so i am gonna set you another interview for the 11th so you can have a interview with her
so then we both gets up and i tells her thank you so much for calling me in for the interview and considering me for the position i really appreciate it
and all she said was ok have a nice day
Now this was my first interview ever and i am smart enough to know that.....that's not how they are suppose to go
but oh well i just have to wait until the 11th now
You get a 2nd interview that's great, and it has always been my experience that the shorter the interview, the more likely I am to get the job. Sometimes if the interview runs too long they are just looking for a reason not to hire you.
I agree - don't worry. It's very possible that you were SUPPOSED to meet with the manager and they went on vacation unexpectedly. Maybe rather than reschedule your interview (or they forgot), they dumped it on an unexperienced person to at least meet you. I'll have to ask DD who she met with if she even still remembers, and if she had two interviews.
How frustrating for you-I'm so sorry! Well, the upshot is you're kind of familiar with the place now and it won't be as scary. Good luck on the 11th and knock 'em dead!
You got a second interview, and that's what counts!
I'm sure she has heard many people say they love animals, are interested in animals, like working with people, and it gets old--remember, you are definitely not the only person she interviewed for the job. It's too bad she was preoccupied, but you did your best and you're one step closer to your goal! That's what really matters.
