It was a nice spring day today and I took some pictures...The squirrels are getting more and more used to me so they now get pretty close. They visit the pen to eat the leftover sunflower seeds from the peafowl's meal and to drink some water. I like watching the peafowl and the squirrels interact. You can always tell what squirrel is not as used to me and the peafowl by how jumpy they act. If a peafowl randomly flaps its wings or a peacock starts displaying some squirrels will run up the nearest pole or run a few feet and look back to make sure they are not going to be attacked. Then the more frequent squirrels that visit don't even flinch and don't care if I move around the pen and take photos of them. Anyways I took all sorts of photos...
Pip noticed the squirrel walking up. All squirrels need to watch out for Pip. She likes to scare squirrels away by displaying and running at them.
I love it when squirrels just lie out on a branch or something. They look so relaxed. Maybe they are just trying not to be noticed though since this one was a bit afraid of me.
Pip and Damsel were lying around in the shade for a bit luckily for the squirrels since Damsel chases squirrels more than Pip.
Here is Pip in a different location lying down. During hot days the birds like to just lie around a bunch.
Ice was relaxing too, and falling asleep.
This is Damsel stretching. Notice how she sticks her foot out between some of her feathers when she stretches.
Damsel spent a lot of time grooming Alto.
Alto was having fun walking up and posing for the camera like he always does.
Here is Alto in the sun.
Now for Dragon who was trying to stay cool in the shade.
