Today is day 21 for my Birchen Maran's and two have pipped, zipped and hatched!
I am amazed at how fast they did it, too. It seemed like there was a pip, a lot of cheeping, then zip and they were out!
I tried a couple of different things with this hatch. The most important one being that I upped the humidity a bunch, as we live in the desert Southwest and my chicks sometimes have a problems with being too dry at hatch.
My dual thermometer/hygrometer is reading lower humidity numbers than I was getting on my digital thermometer but it appears it was just right.
I am praying I get a bunch more babies today! I'll post pictures when my fuzzy-butts are dry and fluffy....
