Correct. The hawk killed a rooster and the vultures ate the remains.
Is this always true??

I have seen (with my own eyes) a vulture attacking another live vulture. So just curious. I think the ones around our house were getting hungry for a while, but I have not seen them as much anymore.

I was under the impression that they would not go after live animals, but I could be wrong.
 
I have never had a crow take birds! The only "air predator" I have lost a bird to was a red-tailed hawk.

The crows never bother them. You seem to get more sightings than I do though.
Crows weren't a problem until two years ago. :( Keep an eye on small chicks and ducklings when crows are around.
