East coast always gets more snow than I feel comfortable with. Montana where I am, it's the ground blizzards that are more likely to get you. It gets so cold, that the snow is really powdery so when the wind whips up( it's very windy here from Livingston to big timber esp but it comes down to billings) it blinds you and knocks vehicles over and makes huge drifts.

we didnt even get the worst of this storm parts of maine got over 30"

i was reading on the maine thread that one of the girls is trapped in her house until a dozer can open up their driveway, a plow tried to do it and failed

her driveway is VERY long too, and she cant get out of her house to feed her birds or anything, because they are like halfway down the drive way

i agree, one girl posted a picture of her storm door, and it was completely buried except for like the top 18"
