Toddlers are Quackers

@Chaos18
Here = a place
There = a different place
Hear = something one does with their ears
Their = shows ownership
They're = combination of they and are, multiple people doing something
Your = shows ones ownership of something
You're = another combo word (also known as a conjunction) you and are, as in stating that someone is doing something

Marking my place to catch up ...later.

Just wanted to say Hi ya'll.

I gotta get started in the garden before it gets too hot out.
Just planting some different kinds of squashes right now.

Abi next time try to make a nice soup from it!

I was thinking about canning it, but a soup might work too. If only I ate soup. :oops:
I won't dismiss the idea though.

What wrong with a good duck and vegetables soup?!
And can you please tell me what is the logic in taking a very nutritional peace of meat and instead of eating it fresh,
You can it, preserve it, and you will eat it in the future, not fresh? Are you leaving in the arctic cycle that you have to preserve food?

I don't eat soup. If I want meat and vegetables, I will eat it cooked, not boiled. You should know raw or steamed vegetable are best.
I can't eat a whole duck fast enough. Preserving is all I can do... Unless I let the animals have it. The ten pound dog is now eating a whole thigh.
Canning it is just cooking it longer.

Agree, but there are some vegetables like, onion, potatoes, celery and parsley roots, that are wonderful in soup. And if you boil them and drink the water you don't loos any minerals that are in the row products. This way is a wonderful way to feed Duckling!
This cooking method you can freeze the extra food.
When my kids where little I used to cook for them a big chicken or turkey soup with tons of vegetables, put in a pice of organic biff liver(=extra iron and B12), and some Wakamme algae (for Iodine )and some pumpkin nudels. I blended it with a stick blender divided it to daily portion, and freeze them. 40 second in the microwave and it is fresh!

You need to explain how freezing is fresh, but canning is not.
Regardless ...
I have no freezer space for anything. One of the mean things my husband did was have a relative take my big freezer one day.

I wonder about microwaving...

I like soup and stews, make too much and save some - canned or frozen, for down the road.
Which is better, canning the stuff you grew, or buying something grown in another county "fresh"?
Some things taste better and I've read are more easily assimilated by the body cooked. Like carrots and potatoes.

Eggs are probably best for your body fresh and raw, but not always...
For me, only in a smoothie can I enjoy raw eggs.
