LOL! You caught me. Yes he is… 66. We actually parted civilly. We could be together now if he knew that I was single again. Unfortunately, I've lost his number. Ironically, he lives close by. Although, we did part for a reason. When he broke off our engagement, we both had a good laugh when I agreed I didn't want to marry him either! We were better off as friends.
He is the only guy I have ever accepted a proposal from the did not die.

I saw him about ... I guess two years ago. He is still good looking. He is ... Kinda cold. Life has been hard, and he is dealing the best he can. The reason he didn't want to marry me, was because he was rebuilding his house. He took a mobile home, and began building a house one wall at a time. He was making good progress, and it occurred to him that when we married, I would have opinions too. It didn't matter that I already knew his plans, and liked them. He would have to ask, and that hurt him after all he had done.
He didn't want to put me on a shelf, so he said we couldn't marry. I laughed, and said I didn't want to marry him either. We had a great night that night, and then I decided to date a guy that ... Well, that is a long story. Bottom line, when the old dude let me know he still wanted me a few years later, I should have jumped on it. Since he wasn't as cold as I had thought (proved when he said I had an opinion. I have never had an opinion with my husband) I could have been happy. Anyway!
I might find him eventually, and at least hang out with him.
