I think I might need to invest in a shock collar.
I NEVER thought I'd say that but after my "accident" i'm thinking maybe it would help train this one dummy of mine...to keep him away from my chickens.

My mutt is as well, she was bouncing all over the house today so we're going to the dog park tomorrow. She loves to run......

there are no dog parks near me unfortunately, and i think she would scare off all the other dogs and people

I use PetSafe. I never dreamed it would work on my old MinPin, but it did. And I always knew when his batteries were dead in the collar, because he'd go out looking for some strange.

**Funny side story, my neighbor (with a deathly ugly old poodle) called me one day and said "if you are looking for Jake, he's in my backyard with FooFoo, but he's just about finished, so I'll send him home in a few minutes!"

But anyway, I use the underground system, but also have it run on the fence in some places and around my coops. My dogs don't bother my chickens though. They also have different size collars, with different "strength" shocks. Dudley gets shifted from the "small dog" to the "stubborn dog" collar quite often. He likes the mail vehicle.
