I think being cool is the key to success. So if you're uncool, you're outta luck.

Even slightly warm eggs can still get weird in the jar. One time DH boiled the eggs and when u tried to peel them the yolks were still totally raw. It was a huge mess, but in a jar!

does anyone have a method to make fresh eggs peelable at all???

Use a stout sewing needle and poke a hole in the rounded end (air cell) place them into boiling water, after water comes back to a boil time them for 10-14 minutes (depending on how well you want the yolks cooked) . Pour off the hot water and flush them with cold water till cool enough to handle. Then just hit them on their side on the counter and roll them a couple of times. Shell should peel right off.

They actually make a spring loaded needle punch for piercing eggs...they work pretty good but try the needle method first to see if you like how they peel before bothering to get one.

thats neat, i would probably keep using the needle though lol
