Toddlers are Quackers

Bantam,
I was talking to one of my sisters a few days ago, and we began talking about my father. While he was definitely abusive, he had a rule that no one else was allowed to hurt us. If he were alive today, I don't think my husband would be.
My father would probably have died for us kids.

Yeah, agreed. DH's dad was abandoned at 5, served 4 tours of duty in Vietnam, developed alcoholism, so he had a lot of baggage that came out at the wrong times. But he never hurt their mother. When DH got into school trouble, father in law nearly assaulted the principal when DH was called a liar.
We are a sum total of experience, and nothing can be perfect in this life, that's for sure. I'll keep rooting for you!

@MotorcycleChick - kids are OK. Son is a little obsessed with graves and death this week, and seems to think Pecks will be re-incarnated in one of our theoretical eggs from the other Buffs (if we get a roo, it'll be a different breed, though), but he is OK. Daughter forgot about it within half an hour (2 year old).

:rp Seriously? The "My Little Pony" movie is rated PG. What did they do to it?!

"Rated PG for Mild Action" Tempest Shadow seems a little scarier than, say, Discord. (But no scarier than Chrysalis or Sombra?) And the ponies throw in with pirates, too (I will definitely be getting pony pirate toys), which could require explanation. But MLP:FIM is rated Y7 to begin with instead of whatever the lowest TV rating is, so it doesn't REALLY mean it'll be any more intense than the show?

*ahem*

I mean... "My Little Pony? Is that still around?"

(I wrote a trilogy of fantasy novels that started as MLP fanfic... Pretty sure my shame over my MLP nerddom is nominal at best.)

I guess I just live in the past when we watched cartoons of all kinds. We weren't afraid of villains or tempted by the Road Runner cartoons.
Of course, jumping off the roof happened.
I figured it had language issues. I'd hope it didn't have sexual content.

 Seriously? The "My Little Pony" movie is rated PG. What did they do to it?!
those little ponies have attitude too

:hugs good morning Abi :love

Thinking of which, we are naming our next batch of chicks (I think I'll like this chicken thing - I sure like the chick thing.)

Dash (boldest EE) and Rarity (columbian wyandotte) will be among them. Third hen still MLP name, just dependent on color. (Roo will be Bob, no debate.)
