2 questions:

in your experience,

what's been the easiest?
and
what's been the most effective?

thanks!

I am not sure what the question is?

Yes we tape crooked toes. We use athletic tape. We do not use card stock. They can function better using the athletic tape top and bottom.
athletic tape sounds good, especially for traction .. i tried the cut card and packing tape (cut smaller) in the past with non-favorable results...
Add that the sooner you tape, the better the outcome.

just for reference, I have a 4 day old chick, an only child (the only egg to develop out of 9 shipped eggs) assisted hatch 24 hours after internal pipping, curled toes- I did nothing as her toes seemed quite flexible, they straightened a little more each day and today they are perfect, -- are people stepping in too early and taping when time fixes the problem? How do you know to interfere or not?

I've got one that I rescued from the feedstore, it hatched with curled toes and splay legs, but I didn't bring it home until it was two days old and by then I could not fix one of the toes, his name is CT, which stands for "crooked toe". lol.
