Toes are super swollen please help!! I don't know what's happening!

I just got a bunch of free chickens from a friend and two guineas. On one of the guineas all the toes are swollen up around the nail there doesn't appear to be any cuts and i don't think it's bumble foot but it is definitely affecting him he isn't really moving around much. Any ideas? I did soak it in a mixture of water and vinegar last night.

Looks like it might be gout. Unfortunately, I don't think there is much you can do if that is the case.

That's what i was thinking too but I have never had a bird with gout before so i wasn't sure.

It looks to me like frost bite damage after the tips of the toes or toenails have fallen off. Here are a couple of pictures to look at:

The odd thing is his nails are still there but the flesh is covering them.

They may look like that for awhile. My bantam rooster got just a touch of it on his toes over winter, and I didn't notice it right away because of his feathered feet. He has one toe still swollen and pale like your chicken's, and it has been a few months now.
