https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploadimg.php I taped it the 2nd day after hatch because it looked splayed..Now today it was going backwards despite the tape...Tried to retape using steri-strips.. (surgical tape used in hospitals)..Any advice?/ Thanks....

Are you sure it's splayed? It might be a slipped tendon. Is it bending wrong at the hock? Do a search here for slipped tendon and splayed legs to find treatment for both. You also might want to get some infant's Polyvisol (without iron) and give the chick a drop or two for the next few days.
