Told they were Sage Eggers from seller.

Hello. These three hens are probably around a year old now. They are of medium size, all black, and their eggs are medium size and appear to be blue-green-ish. I've sent pics to three hatcheries and all they can tell me is that they are a hybrid.

I think it's important to remember Sage Egger is just a name somebody made up. Of course that's really the case with any "breed" but they are not a distinct chicken at all. If I were you and the eggs were supposed to be a dark, muted green and they aren't, send pics to the breeder/seller and ask for part of your money back. Also, are the two beige eggs from them too? The seller needs to know some of their breeders aren't carrying the blue egg gene and should be happy to be notified.

These didn't come from a breeder, just an individual in the area. The other eggs are there just for size reference, but I failed to mention that. They all three produce the blueish or greenish eggs.
