Told you I have bad luck - dropping out of the quaill egg swap :(

My dog got into my room last night and killed 5 of my buttons. I only have 1 left. She has never done anything like this. It happened around 3AM when I woke up and looked to see her trying to kill the last 1. I took her out of my room and smacked her but and yelled NO! I cant be in the swap now since I am left with 1 baby

You know we'll help you when we can! Doggies and kitties are always hard to trust no matter how much we think we can trust them they can sitll slide back into their natural nature. She im sure knows now what she did was wrong. I wish my boy kitty did. He killed one of my male bq chicks a few days ago, he got a bum smack too however it doesnt phase him he's still always looking at my buttons with an evil glow in his eye.

If i had some eggies now i'd risk shipping them to you just so you could try to hatch more...but i dont they're still a lil too young. Hopefully someone else can hook you up soon so you can jump right back in int he spring!!!!

I am so sorry! Maybe you can get some more eggs from somewhere? I only have one button as well, I think partly because of the P.O. and partly because of my inexperience with quail...So sorry Stevie!!

Thanks guys. My mom is letting me get some on ebay. It breaks my heart to hear him call out and look for his siblings. He keeps passing back and fourth and calling.

I saw your moms doggie, a cockpit? cocker spaniel pit bull mix? Pretty interesting. Cocker spaniels are keen on birds so that's probably what happened puppers just going off it's instincts. My male (cocker spaniel) whines anytime he sees my birds if he had it his way i thikn every quail i own would be in his mouth lol!

My moms dog is scared of the birds. Its was mollie (chow chow/ black lab mix) That did it. My mom said we dont know her track record since we picked her up at the NC animal shelter. Thank you for the vibes. Hopefully I will get lots and lots of babies. Be prepared to see lots and lots of pics
