I have a pair of utility tolouse geese and they have a nest with 6 eggs in it and they sit on them first time with geese :) will they lay more? And how many do they usually lay? Thanks

Can't say about tolouse, but my Chinese certainly would lay more. When she has enough to suit her, she will begin setting. You will know it when that happens. If their nest is protected, as in a coop or pen, let them lay more and don't bother them, unless you want the eggs and don't intend to let her hatch them. If the nest could be accessed by a predator, collect all except one or 2 and keep them in a safe cool place, like on the kitchen counter. I've lost so many nests to predators, I'm more than slightly paranoid...........Pop

Hello chickenboy1, they will lay lots more...anywhere up to about 25... My last goose topped at 26 about 2 yrs. Ago...good luck...they generally lay every other day.
