Hello all,

I recently ordered this Toltrazuril online. It's the 5% one. Is the dosage for chickens always the same? Or do i have to mix it per instruction on the bottle? Which says 1ml per 6lb for 5-6 days..
.

Are you putting it in the water or giving it orally? I found that the 5 % liquid is given 0.5 ml per liter or quart of water for 2 days for chickens as the only source of water. Can you post the instructions on the label for chickens? Here is another dosage source:

I would like to give it via waterers, but now I am reading it's too be given orally... Here are the instructions from the back of the bottle 😊

So, 2ml per gallon, two days in a row. I did a test batch, to see if it mixes with water, and it does. I will do that then.

I think it can be given in water as long as they are drinking normally. Some medications may be better given orally if they are the only one getting it, or if they are not drinking well.

Corid the usual treatment for coccidiosis is not that expensive, and is found in most feed stores. Dosage is 2 ml per gallon of water for 5 days. It works unless you are dealing with a difficult strain of coccidia that may be resistant to Corid/amprollium.

I am not dealing with an outbreak. I don't treat for coccidiosis, and haven't for a long time. I just figured all coops could use a nice gut refresher. Lol
If anyone shows symptoms, they would get treated individually, but this is just a proactive thing. As everyone was also dewormed two weeks ago. Just getting ready for spring 😊
