Tom Noise question

I've only one Tom and two hens and he makes a GOOD BIT of noise. I happen to love it and the trilling and clicking and soft sounds as they forage. I actually can't wait until we have more.

He's actually been a bit quieter since Algernon (barred rock roo) has taken up residence because Algie is TOP dog and Jake (the tom) doesn't want to piss him off.

But I don't have neighbors.

LOL.... the post brings back fond memories. I enjoyed the gobble gobble gobble sound but nobody else did.

Thanks for the input folks, I am still not sure how I will deal with this but they seemed a little quieter and no one has complained yet,
One 80 something year old lady has actually said she thinks it is nice but she is not the toms closest neighbor.

We have a radio in the poultry area that we play during the day. This seems to calm down our Tom so he gobbles less at strange noises.

Other wise he gobbles at any sound that is made.

speaking of answering back,

we have LOTS of wild turkeys around here.. My house is 300 feet off the road with pine trees and an orchard out front..

last summer a teenage boy was riding his bike back and forth on the road ..He had a turkey caller and was making the hen's sound.
Well, my Tom is always more than willing to oblidge.. he had that kid thinking he was the greatest wild turkey caller in the tri-state area...
