Turkeys imprint on humans very easily. Yours appears to have imprinted on you and therefore is treating you as another turkey since she doesn't know the difference.
I go out of my way to avoid imprinting my poults on me so I never have the problem of a turkey thinking I am one of them. My turkeys never attack me and will not even come up close to me. Of course I don't think of turkeys as pets.
That makes A LOT of sense... I definitely babied her as a baby, and treated her very much like a pet! Lesson learned, no more imprinting! Do they enjoy having other turkeys around?? I have two ducks and 6 chickens but the she really doesn't "like" them. She will hang out with the ducks but they aren't friendly with each other. Do you think it would help if I were to purchase another turkey for her to hang out with?
