Tomaru Longcrowers...

That's a bit of a bummer, but he's super handsome regardless. Both the pullets and cockerel just seem regal almost in their posture.

I took a few more pics this morning and will get them off my camera & into this thread later on today.

I won an auction from Mcallum's flock on ebay for some LF salmon faverolle eggs, and he sent me Denizli longcrower eggs as extras since he had no other eggs available.

I have had trouble finding info about this breed so thank you for making this topic. Are tomaru longcrowers different from Denizlis? Or are they the same breed just imported in different countries and eventually became different from each other?

Saddest part of all: I live in a neighborhood and cannot have roosters. This is like the one breed of chicken where roosters are more desirable than hens.

Lanatwo, go onto YouTube to hear the 'crow'.........OMG.......if that went on all day it would be enough to make me leave home....

I don't know enough about longcrowers to tell you if they are pure Tomarus - I know he called them denizlis which might not be the same breed?

Here is his website: http://www.mccallumsflock.com/denizli.htm

I
am excited to see that all his longcrowers are birchen and blue birchen - one of my favorite color patterns!

And apparently his hens crow... crap! And wow... a 20-30 second crow!

Shoot, he has the Denilizi, not the Tomaru. Gosh, the Tomaru's seem so hard to find! I'm with you on the color, though - I love Birchen coloration in any base pattern!

I did a little research - sorry to get your hopes up! But if you're interested and they tun out to be roos I would be happy to ship them to you for just the cost of shipping when they get bigger!

They are such beautiful chicks. The chocolate red and black coloring is unique to me! Never seen that before. I anxiously anticipate the hatch!

ok, so I just did a youtube search of the longcrowers. After the second video the dog started howling, which then made my son start howling, now another dog is barking and the ancient terrier is screeching. Maybe I don't want any of these afterall!
