WH lay eggs like crazy, will go broody if you leave them a pile of eggs, can't fly worth a darn, and are also a good meat bird. A perfect duck breed in my opinion.

Between these guys and my coturnix hens, I never run out of eggs. When the ducks went broody, we lived on those quail eggs though hubby hated breaking so many open. I think I will get him a quail egg cutter for father's day

I have also been giving my ducks any leaves and prunnings from my tomato plants. Lexus (shown above) has also gotten a few green tomatoes that fell off the plants in a hail storm. No problems. I have tried giving garden scraps to the quail, but they wont eat them.
