I'm new to gardening and I was wondering when tomato plants begin producing fruit. My plants are healthy and about 2 ft tall and I have one tomato. I've got about 6 plants and only one tomato. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks :)

I've only got one little tomato too, but I've got more blossoms popping up every day. Initially I used an Epsom salt water mixture at their root bases (the Magnesium is what they needed) because my soil was lacking. The plants literally sprang up like a jungle after 2 weeks of watering them with the mix and a good hearty rain following.

I planted them in may. I'm just surprised to see such big healthy plants with lots if blossoms but no tomatoes. But I guess that's normal?

As long as you have lots of blossoms, it will all work out. What is your average day time temp? If it is too hot, you may not get any fruit set. One thing you can do to help the blossoms set fruit is to gently shake the vines. Tomatoes are actually pollinated by air movement. (though, i'm sure insects may also play a role.)

We've had an average of 85 temp. And we've given them a shake every now and then. We've got some blossoms so I guess it's just a waiting game. Thanks for the help!
