I was just meaning let her wander inside the barn.

Yep I know.

And yep I could do that. Might do that and see how it goes. She’s a troublesome creature, always fretting. I don’t want her tearing up and down the aisle at night. I used to have a gate across the aisle - I might put that back in place. Esp if I get the FIFO (fly in/fly out) job I am hoping for. This way whoever i get to care for the horses doesn’t have to worry.

When he does his jiggly dance his feathers all rustle - first time Truly saw this she almost had a fit! He was standing I the barn doorway and wouldn’t let us pass, Truly almost had heart failure

He's beautiful! You could probably get eggs in the spring. Wonder how many peafowl eggs a chicken could brood?

Nights have been holding temps until just before sunrise, so they should be fine. If not, both PITA and Focus are responding to chick in distress calls, so .... chicks were allowed to follow Cardhu except when she went to lay the egg. She got them up off the ground at night, then decided everything's good.

Sydney taught them to roost in the trees and then she was done. Whereas Glynda held on to the until she passed away when they were 8 weeks old.

They look look as if they are about to speak. If they did it wouldn't surprise me

Before we had our Peahen Neela, Shyam had to show off to the chickens...

Then Neela came along and he was a happy lad!
