Tomato Worms

IF you want to be RID of Tomato Hornworms, plant Basil in between your tomato plants. This has worked VERY WELL for me. I also plant French Marigolds in that area.

I put marigolds next to my tomatoes and it didn't seem to help much with the hornworms. Will try basil next year.

The Basil is what seemd to work best (use Italian or Greek Basil). Regarding the Marigolds, French Marigolds are more effective than the others in controlling bugs.

I love giving mine a tomato worm when I find one. Those

do so much damage to my tomato plants and it's a nice revenge for me. My girls sling the snot right out of them and they die a torturous death.

Gee Chicky Tocks, I didn't know you were so blood thirsty!

I planted a bunch of basil next to my tomato plants and did not get one not ONE tomato worm this spring. However I did get the proverbial butt load of leaf footed stink bugs.

Well, I found some tomato worms today, and my girls turned their noses up at them. Maybe I'll do as suggested and cut them in half.

Chickens love them. But my pet squirrel likes them most he just looks up with a green gooey face and wants more...cva34

I grabbed a few outa my garden too and fed them to my chooks. My son and I got a kick out of our Dominic Rooster. As he reached down to peck at it, it clung to his waddles and he shook his head for quite some time and that worm was not letting go. He finally got smart and used his foot to get him off. then he ate the sucker!

My Frizzles love them. I gave them a big one once and they chased each other trying to get it from each other.
