The snow finally melted and it got up to 50 today! So I went and dug up a clump of grass and creeping charlie for the chicks.

They are not at all convinced! Anne and rose were the first to actually check it out.

Bumble Bee almost looks like they have green legs.

Apollo is still rocking that eyeliner

I agree with @Cheekychook12 Rose is giving me pullet vibes

Cherry has probably had the most dramatic visual change from hatch! I was kinda expecting to see at least some partial lacing.

Sungold still giving me cockerel vibes. Look how thick those legs are!

Ann might be my fave. Getting strong pullet vibes from her, let's hope that's not just wishful thinking.

And I'm starting to get cockerel vibes from Cherokee.

So pretty, I agree with the cockerel and pullet vibes you said

Three weeks old now! I'm trying to get them moved out to the big brooder in the garage, but I'm having trouble getting the temp stabilized. When it was 60° outside on Friday the area directly under the heat lamp was a blistering 146°!! Then the temperature plummeted and I was struggling to keep it in the 59-60's yesterday. Added a blanket and we're back over 100 again.

I've got an inkbird in there to track the temp overnight, if the hotest part of the brooder stays in the low 90's-100's we'll call it good and move them out there tomorrow. The brooder is big enough they'll have plenty of room on the cooler side to get away from the heat.
