Tomorrow is the day! **Update! Lost chicks!**

So, some of you know that I managed to kill almost 60 chicks this summer through my own stupidity. I am now armed with brand spanking new BYC information, and tomorrow is baby chick day!

I built a brooder that I hope is completely impenetrable. It has a locking latch, is 3.5 feet by 5 feet by 2 feet high, and has 2 foot long legs to keep it off the ground. I also painted it red on the outside for pretty's sake.

There are three heat lamps spaced around the coop, one over the brooder.

And I got rid of the chicken killing dog. Wish me luck!

****update. My chicks are lost! They did not arrive at the post office! It is 64 degrees!!!! Eeek!***
