Tomorrow's Day 18 and this Newbie has a Question

Tomorrow is going to be day 18 on my first hatch....ever.
I have a 1588 Hovabator with turner and I know I must take the eggs out of the turner on day 18.
Here's my questions for you all...
Do I just place the eggs on the wire mesh or is there anything I should be placing on the mesh under the eggs?
Also, do I need to place the eggs in something to prevent them from rolling into each other during hatching?

I put my eggs in the bottom half of an egg carton so that they don't roll all around when the chicks hatch and there is less mess to clean up when you are done.
