That's so sad, one of my friends had chicks and she left the coop open one night and raccoons killed all the chicks (she was brooding outside) and she also some others killed as adults by raccoons that got in her coop.Ya. Ya, the chicken owners around my property have the worst time with all sorts of predators. Coyotes, hawks, owls, raccoons there is a bobcat that hangs around my property. Not to mention everyone's pet dogs wanting to eat my free range silkie roo and his duck friends. That's so sad, one of my friends had chicks and she left the coop open one night and raccoons killed all the chicks (she was brooding outside) and she also some others killed as adults by raccoons that got in her coop.![]()

Love the set up I'm excited to see the build out. How many in your growing flock? So tomorrow we are building the extension to our existing run. With our growing flock we need more room. We are building the extension to be 8 ft. Wide and 12 ft. Long so that will double their current space. I am replacing ALL the sod in the runs since they killed that a long time ago. I will update you guys with pictures and if you have any questions PLEASE do ask them!
Here's are coop currently, we are building the run on the back.
