No, I don't replace it when it dies, they just scratch on the dead sod. I am just replacing it because I'll have extra. Thanks for the link

That replacing it will help your lice/mite problem, that it's less expensive than bedding.
Did you order a pallet of sod to do the yard, or just for the chicken run?

I thought there could be lice/mites in the sod, and for me yes it is less expensive since it's a one time purchase that I WILL NOT be replacing after it's dead.

Just for them, I used it before and it is great, I need more for the extension and it only comes in a pallet
