Tonight on PBS! "The Natural History of the Chicken"

My hubby saw the end of it back in Feb and ordered the video from PBS so I could watch it. I love it. It touches on all aspects of chickens and it is done in a way that it makes people aware of how we get our eggs and food, without all the gory scary aspects.

Just watched this on-line at NetFlix - what a hoot! the whole time i was wondering if it was for real or a put on. Im still not sure! Its worth watching though - entertaining!

I thought alot of it was a good laugh but I did cry when that hawk was coming after the silkie. DB now wants silkies when he had been against them before. lol

I rented this from the library. In fact I've rented every book there is on chickens and movies. Loved "Chicken Run". Now this History of the chicken is not what I expected it to be and IMO just a bunch of stories of people and their chickens. The lady with the silkie has clearly had her brain sucked out by the bird, which is why i will not have one near me, and wear a tin foil hat at the poultry shows. She is just plain nuts!

Just saw this thread and ordered this from the Library. Hopefully, it will be ready for pick up on tomorrow. I can't wait to see it. Thanks for posting.

Just watched it in my iPhone via NetFlix stream .. WOW! Worth every minute of it!! Really the title is sort of misleading as this should be called "Some Funny and Interesting Facts of Chicken" or something like it. But like I said, this was worthwhile watching it!
