Tonight was the first Halloween meeting...ideals needed?

Imps, you need lots of imps.

A haunted corn maze surely has scarecrows...We have three.

The first two are fake...on a stick.

The last one...he isn't fake, and he's fast.

There is blood, and Spook grabs you if he knows you.
I am not going unless
Imp, will you go with me?
I'm scared.

One of the best frights i have ever seen in a corn maze was so simple it sounds ridiculous. One one of your dead ends, dig a trench and camouflage it well, have your spook lay down in it and pop up as the guests are trying to leave the dead end. They feel safe because they have wondered in there and nothing happened, so when they go to leave, and almost step on the guy, it is priceless!!!

It can get COLD laying on the ground here at the end
of October.

The (real) creek at the edge of the corn seems to keep the
whole back section cold. But we have other "jumpers" in the
field.

***And I think it's against the law in Ohio to have Imps loose
at night. Statewide curfew about them things...must be caged
and on a leash at all times.

Imp can not be contained. Even an old guy from the Sourlands knows that.

Hey, maybe we could get the Jersey Devil to show up. He is quite scarey!!!

Yup, I'd chew off my own head to get out of a leash.

Sounds like you got things pretty well covered. Abattoirs get to me, but it's a creepy fascination.
If I come up with anything I'll let you know.

This...sounds...amazing. When I first started reading your post I thought of all sorts of things. Then I kept reading and you have all the things I thought of and more!! Chainsaw guy is scary. Especially if he's chasing you. Being shot at is equally as scary, maybe even more so as it's harder to dodge a bullet than a guy running at you with a chainsaw. ( And I always think, when I go in a haunted house, or maze, or whatever, " what if some psychopath is in here, hiding out, actually killing people, for real, and noone really knows until the next day because there is so much blood, and gore and screaming going on that noone notices??" Ok, I just gave myself the creeps.

But the spider thing...if you had realistic spiders, I mean, the big, nasty, hanging from webs waiting to cling to your face spiders....that would be the scariest thing ever for me. Not scared in a fun way, either...scared in an, "I'm gonna die from a heart attack" kind of way....

That's an idea, set loose a lot of those awful thorny country wood spiders that love to make huge webs out in your corn field and watch everyone freak out.

No really, now that I recommendend this please don't do it! Those things are horrible!!! i'm just saying those are the scariest things ever.
