So last week I got 3 ducks at Tractor Supply. They only had the 50lb bags of chick starter. I read that you shouldn't give ducks chick starter after 3weeks old bc it has too much protein and can cause Angel Wings. But I don't want this huge bag of feed to go to waste. What can I do? I read that you can "dilute" it with rolled oats but my ducks don't do good with any food that's much bigger than the chick starter granules. I'd have to probably put the oats in the blender to make them smaller and I really don't wanna add an extra step to the already very long process of cleaning their brooder. What about Steel Cut Oats? Or some other idea?

I had some chick starter left over too when I was raising a muscovy and two khaki Campbell's and I mixed it in with their new food and I never had a problem. And now their all grown up and laying eggs.:) I'm pretty sure that the next food their on is pellets, so you could mix it with that.

Awesome! Thank you! So do you think my dark one is a Khaki Campbell?
