Hi.I have some muscovy ducks and i have a problem,i have a 3 years old muscovy drake and two two year old hens and two one year old hens.My question is: is the drake to big for the one year old hens?
the drake its very aggressive and they dont mate in water because the place i got the drake from doesnt had a place were to bathe so he doesn't goes to that place were the pool is(i think he is the only duck ho doesn't like water) the drake has 7 kg and the hens 2-3 kgFigure age isn't so match the factor here as sizes and temperaments. Ducks are full-grown by 60-90 days at the outside. Is the drake aggressive toward the hens? Is he much larger than they are to the point that mating in water could mean the hens drown? Assuming those answers are "No" your hens should be fine.
I got him at 1 year old now he is 3 i have from him 60 chicks but i think this year after the hens will go broody i will make him dinner, he got too big for the hens
