It's about 40 here and raining today. I've got some 3.5 wk old chicks inside that are really stinking up my house. If I stick them out in the barn (obviously with a heat lamp) they should be fine in a dog crate, right? I can cover a side or two, but the barn is relatively draft free.

My babies were born and raised in the barn in a dog crate and a heat lamp with 40 degree temps. Two clutches of them. All did fine with no illnesses or problems whatsoever

Cool. These critters are really stinking up my walkin closet.

They need to get out. I put our original flock outside when they were 2-3 weeks old, but that was over the summer and it was hot out.
