Too Cold?

Those pullets are fine. What you need to worry more about is that ventilation. You need to punch triangle holes up top and cover them with some hardware cloth or louvered covering to allow any moisture and the ammonia fumes from their poop to escape. As both of these rise upward in the air and will basically "collect" and not escape, thus your roost bar becomes a gas chamber to them. Harsh way to say it but you've worked to hard to have sick chickens.
Also, cold weather doesn't slow their egg laying. It's the shortening of day light that does that as we get into the winter months and it gets dark earlier. Your girls will be laying eggs in a month or two just fine.
Definitely need more ventilation in that coop. Dampness/moisture will cause more issues than a moderate 39 degrees ever would.
We have already tried making areas for ventilation but we almost broke the coop that why I thought it would be fine to have that door open so that the gas can come out and they have sand as their bedding( i used to use wood chips but it gave my old chickens a respiratory issues) and when they poop on the sand I use a kitty litter scoop and scoop out the poop and throw it away

They like to be close..... for 'security', not warmth.
Did you stick you hand under the stiff outer feathers?
They are nice and toasty next to their skin.
I only touched their back lol ,thanks for the info i didn't know that they sleep close for security

Yay, I can't wait for those eggs !! I haven't seen them squat and one of them has done the egg song ONCE which was a few days ago because I took the other pullet with me inside the house to file her nails down and the one I left outside started singing the egg song lol

Some "breaking" might be fine - I'd break out the boards just under the run extension roof facing into the run extension and then cover the opening with wire. I'd rather have the ventilation up higher, but that's an easy place to add more ventilation and still have some weather protection over it.

my parents probably wouldn't try to attempt it again because at the time the coop was almost $400 and they said it'll be fine how they are

Maybe your parents could come here and learn the things that you are learning?
they aren't really crazy about chickens they would rather me not have them .long story short my mom was raised with lots of animals in South America so when I asked her if I could get chickens instead of a dog she said yes and didn't think it would be hard because over there they eat table scraps and whatever they could find and they lived in trees so once I got them we saw how expensive they were to take care of and she said we are done with chickens ( like done buying stuff for them like medicine for them and not buying any more chicks) but we will still buy food and stuff like that I told them about BYC they laugh about it in a good way because its better than me playing games but they wouldn't ever come on here because they say that " their just chickens they will survie". but there's definitely no way we are or can add ventilation in their coop but thanks for the help!
