I have raised Australorps, sometimes the size increases quickly, but not with the redness and those large wattles. I am very confident it's a cockerel

Thank you guys!! I am certain the other 3 are pullets too so it’s really just the BA that there is some disagreement on. Knowing nothing about the breed, I assume cockerel based on the comb and wattles too but I’ve read here and other places that australorp females can develop early. I will keep sharing pics of him/her so hopefully this can eventually help someone else! If it’s a he, sadly we can’t keep him but I do have a home lined up. My friend has a flock of females waiting for a prince. Haha. Thanks again!

Australorps do get big red combs pretty early...

Australorps get big early and tend to pink up but not get this red this early. I have 5 right now. None of them got this red until recently and theyve just started laying.
