Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Do you think I should candle my last egg in the bator with my one silkie baby? I have not seen movement or chirping. I mean I could still just wait day 21 starts at 3:00pm today. The only reason I would do it now is to know if I have to search around for a couple day olds to keep my singleton company or not.

Since there isn't an external pip and it's the only egg there really shouldn't be any harm it taking it out to candle and listen to it.

Thats what i was thinking too. I give the little one in there a little while longer to dry off, its getting fuzzy

Looks lighter now that’s it’s dried a little. Hard to get a good pic through the bator. Might be slightly splay legged or might just be still trying to find its feet. Wouldn’t be surprised since it was malpositoned.
Maybe it’s splash???

When I hatched quail it took a few hours but I'm sure it's going to vary. How many quail eggs are in the incubator?

I bet it's going to be like popcorn when they start hatching all at once! Quail are usually much more satisfying in that respect. lol

Just checked my duck eggs. They are looking good. Most of the air cells seem a bit big for having ~9 days left. The humidity has been around 30% except when I mist. It goes up to 60% for a while. I've been adding some water to the wells the last couple days too.
