That's the best! I wish I could rig up something like that. I'd never put my phone down :lau:jumpy
Wyze camera off amazon best $20 I ever spent. I have two and Amazon just delivered two more so I can set it up to watch my incubator and then my brooder. Also have two in my coops and they have night vision so you can watch the nightly roost rumble :)

Omg an egg just moved right in front of my eyes ahhhhh
remind me what day your on? I cannot keep everyone straight but I think we are very close. Im on day 18, day 21 is this Sat for me. Now I have to run upstairs and stare for a couple hours to see if I have movement.....Oh and I have so much to get accomplished today...you know, when your going to sleep the night before and you make that mental list of all the stuff you will get done the next day because its your day off then you get totally side tracked from BYC and egg watching

Ahhh makes sense. I didn’t think about candling since I’m too scared to open the incubator now that they are locked down. I guess that would be fine to do if none have externally pipped yet.
I never open my incubator after lockdown. Last year I had some that pipped on the bottom of the egg and I did not see it at all so if I opened it could have dried out the egg. People do open after lockdown but Im too nervous and Ive only hatched one other time. Id hate for the chickie baby to get that far and then I kill it with my impatience. So just be aware you could have pips you don't see :old I had no idea they would sometimes pip on the underside of the egg.

Hahaha. Day 21 is tomorrow for me! So im on day 20 with 3 pips now!!!

Yes it does. On the 9th the camera will go on live and stay on until we are done hatching. I'll just change out the eggs as they go into lock down. I have selfish reasons for doing it too. I usually end up having to work during hatch day and having the live camera hitched up I get to watch too :caf
Oh great now ill have someone else's hatch to obsess over :caf:pop:pop

Yeah I am way too inexperienced to take any risks. That bator is staying shut until I absolutely have to open it.

I love this! I'm totally rebelling against the neighborhood rules, they just changed HOA presidents and are going to try to get upset with people that have been here for years and years. SO, the plan to hatch an emu and take it for walks until we find somewhere else to live...is sounding very appealing. :lau
I'd laugh like crazy seeing someone walking their emu. Bring it to tractor supply 😂 they say they allow all leashed pets.

I just asked my local poultry friends and there are two people that would like emus. I'm going to reach out to the person that posted the emu hatching eggs. :wee This is totally happening!
