Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

I'd be afraid to lose them imagine raising those after baby chicks. They're so tiny it makes me scared.

Im going to candle them and up the humidity tonight. Or am i best doing it tomorrow night (day 14). Fingers crossed they hatch ok. Oh im down to 7 from 12 eggs.

My knowledge of hatching button quail is minimal, but Google says they take 17 days to hatch so I would probably put them on lockdown tomorrow. If you decide to do it tonight, it won't hurt them to have an extra day though. I put my chicks on lockdown a day early on occasion when I have slightly staggered hatches and they still hatch just fine. I can't wait for your updates!

Even when I hatched regular quail they were so tiny compared to chicks! I wouldn't even know how to pick up a newly hatched button quail!

My daughters to blame for the button quail. She wanted the tiny bumble bee babies. Its a learning experience im happy we have 7 growing chicks on the first go . Just a waiting game now these last few days to see what hatches.

I'm so glad your daughter talked you into it because now we all get to enjoy the little bumble bees! Fingers crossed for all 7!
