Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

I joined in here after reading up on hatching eggs. Ive since found the quail part of the forum... but I'd already posted here.

And you're not allowed to leave Floydie, not until we all get to enjoy seeing those sweet little peeps!! The hatch-a-longs really do have all kinds of fowl. ShannonsChimkens was trying to hatch emu eggs earlier they just didn't work out. I promise, we're all just in chicken mode right this second. Next month I'll have goslings...and possibly an emu as well. lol

we only have turkey and chicken eggs due this weekend... I think a couple may be marans but I will have to double check. I have a batch ( over 50) of shipped eggs in my brinsea ovatation ex56 that I will be candling tomorrow(day 8) and pulling the clears. I hate to pull any so early, I like to wait longer but I Need the incubator for lockdown. and there are Lots of eggs on the counter waiting for their spot in the incubator so?? its time. I even got impatient and send 50 eggs home with a friend (assorted duck, turkey and chicken) to be set in his incubator.

That's great! I think I need to reach out to the person that you ordered these eggs from and get some too! I would love a Wheaton Marans and another Olive Egger...and probably whatever else she has. :lau

I really like her birds. She focuses on Ameraucanas and Birchen and Wheaten Marans, but naturally has olive eggers as well. Gypsyhen.com
She also sells eggs on eBay. I was impressed with her packaging and customer service has been great.

Due the 26th / 27th February!

I’m considering buying a second incubator to act as a hatcher so I don’t loose my mind trying to coordinate ship dates when I buy eggs on eBay...those of you who use 2 or more incubators, what do you recommend getting as a hatcher? I’m thinking a second incuview...or get a new incubator for the first 18 days and use that as my hatcher. Maybe one that turns upright since I do shipped eggs...
