I grew up 9 miles outside of boston in a city called Waltham. I now live out further near Worcester. It took a while for me to find our local livestock auction. Here is the south there are a bunch of good ol' boys running it and there isn't much in the way of advertising but I'm sure if you ask in a facebook group local to you, someone is bound to know. My Husband is from MA and had me convinced that nobody has chickens therelol. He grew up outside of Boston though so I'm sure they just weren't allowed or something.
So jealous! I bid on some pita pinta from gff on eBay, but they got too pricy, gorgeous birds!Late to the party but have 4 days to go on just 3 eggs—buff laced polish bantams & 13 days on some black mottled pita pinta asturianas in with a fertility check on my marans. Whew!!!
re: brooder plates: I have 3–a brinsea eco glow, a titan, and a rent-a-coop which I’ve all been pleased with

I had 6 hatch in a tiny brinsea they were falling all over each other, stepping on each other, crashing into shells but they were fine. Let them dry.I’m so scared to shrink wrap a baby even though watching them fall all over the shells is driving me nuts.
HA! I work in Framingham! as a matter of fact Im there right nowThere was a place called Mel's Cafe that my Husband took me too, I think it was near Waltham, they had the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had in my life! He was in Framingham but his parent's are out in Cape Cod now. It's absolutely gorgeous out there!
