Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

35 little fluffs total in the brooder. This batch 19 out of 23 shipped eggs hatched and are healthy. Will not complain with a little over 80% hatch rate. Out of the 4 that didn’t hatch, only 2 weren’t ready. Sadly 2 were and weren’t able to get out. Yolks absorbed and everything. Bummer!

Have no clue who is who now! There are just babies of all colors, everywhere. Somewhere in this bundle of purebreds, there is one little baby that’s from my two adult mutt hens. Will be interesting figuring out which one.

I can see what almost looks like an eye and some of the head neck as well as a bit of the underbelly? I can try to illustrate but I could be completely wrong.

Use your finger and probe to see you will be able to tell by feel

Ok so...I definitely saw an eye. And I definitely see a foot...none of these malpositions really make sense based on what I’m seeing. Which one seems most likely? Any chance it’s none of these at all? View attachment 2020963

This should make you feel much better @BluebirdHomestead because none of us are 100% sure what we're looking at either and we've all done assists before. I'm pretty sure we've covered all possible body parts that "might be right there. lol

If you're going in, go ahead and do it now. You want to make sure the little one can breath. Once it's beak is free you will have all the time in the world to decide how to help more. If that's what you're wanting to do.
