Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Babies are growing so fast, as always. Here’s the first one that hatched on Wednesday morning. Pretty sure it’s a Cockerel based on the dark wing feathers growing in. He’s a Wheaten Ameraucana.

7 black turkeys moved into a tote and added a chick tutor

this little one looks silver.
There are still 5 turkeys talking in their shells in the bator and the chicks are due tomorrow. So we will see what else hatches!

With any luck we will have more pics tomorrow. And next week and the following week. Oh and if the broody turkey we gave eggs to takes em the next week too... oh wait that one will be in March

I'm sorry you're daughter isn't feeling well but that's so great that you get to watch the hatch!!

I started out in Polish almost exclusively and then a really fun (NOT) thing happened--my farm partner texted me while I was literally going through the TSA line on the way out to Colorado for a two week vacation with the kids. She told me she just couldn't do chickens anymore and basically sold all of the breeding stock I had cultivated and paid for out from under me. She did not offer or give me any money for it, and then proceeded to keep some of my equipment she borrowed. Absolutely devastating--but in the moment, my husband just told me to let it go. I had to, but it still stings. I'm now in the process of rebuilding, and hope to have a nice assortment of Polish again by the end of the year. Keep me in mind!!

My husband probably would have told me to do the same thing and I probably would have been really hurt over the whole situation.

I'm sorry that that happened to you and I'm sorry that she did not consider your side before making such a rash decision.
