well 1 out of many eggs have hatch.
but i counted the days it been only 14, even though my last batch of eggs, most of the quail pop out around 16-18 days
is this strange?

well hes moving alright, no bad sign of any deform or problem with the little chick, just that he like to runs over the other eggs and peck at the foil.
it hatch today nov 1. around 10ish i believe, i didnt know, i couldnt hear him till 11.
he not fully feather but does seem to be well ok with the set temperature i have for it

do i feed him now or do i wait a little while?
i got chick starter , i hope its what they eat + warm water

im more prepare then last time :]

the early comer may have been a little older egg that started getting warm while waiting on the bator or the temp may have been a little higher where he was at

there should not be any problems with it i would go ahead and get him out of the bator if he is dry and the others start to hatch that way ya dont have to open it up when the others start to hatch
chick starter will work just make sure its a higher % protine say 20+% and have it in a feeder in your paper towel lined brooder and sprinkle some on the paper towel so they can find it and as ya put them in dip there beaks in the waterer there should not be any problems

The 'black' ones are tuxedo and tibetan coturnix, I have pics on my page of some. You just have to find someone that has the color bird you're looking for, I have 7 different colors, but they aren't laying worth a diddly right now.
