Too early to introduce ??

So I have some roughly 8 wk olds in a tractor coop. They've been outside for 3 wks now so my older 11 chicken that free range can get used to seeing them. Anyways the younger ones are wanting out lol Should I wait till they get more size on them ?

I think your 3 weeks of see-no-touch is enough. They don't need more size, they may appear less of a threat being smaller. Just monitor them and see how it goes...good luck!

The ones I integrated this spring ended up being 10 weeks old due to all the intervals of freezing weather and I didn't want to be outside watching them. And it turned out to be non event. The elders just accepted them. There was a little chasing, mostly by the 2 bantams who were thrilled to be the boss for once, but no pecking, no bullying.
