Too Fat?? *pic heavy*

Your flock looks fluffy, healthy and happy

I gave three of mine baths yesterday (two poopy bottoms and one greased up back from hanging out under the truck). My buff orp is my "fattest" bird, and she diminished by half after being soaked in her bath. It's all fluff. Maybe the neighbor has really lightweight breeds...

I don't your birds are fat, I have heavy breeds and they look the same as yours. I would also think about all those feathers I had to process a BR a few weeks ago she looked big but after all her feathers where off she looked skinny. But then looked up the weight that BR hens are supposed to weigh and the weight she was before processing and after was right on the money so I think the heavy breeds seem to have that look. I would not worry about it. I have a cat that looks like that picture. Same coloring also.

Look good to me! Mine are about the same age and look that fat or fatter. We free feed and they are out during the day. My mother-in-law doesn't agree about the free feeding or the snacks I give but hers all look sickly and thin to me to me. Mine are happy and healthy and hopefully laying soon. I've heard that frre feeding at a young age would make them better layers. MIL's are the same age so we'll see who has more eggs.

Our Rooster is almost as wide as he is tall. He's a free ranger. Must be some good pickins out there!!!!!!
