Can you possibly stay with your parents at night?

ETA When I moved into my first house by myself, it wasn't the most secure/well maintained of structures, and one of the windows was completely knocked out. I was pleased with it though LOL, I had acreage and I could finally get chickens! The first night I was laying in bed and I heard someone moving around in the living room and I have never been so terrified in all of my life. I could hear my moving boxes being messed with, and paper bags rustling. I came to find out the previous inhabitants had left their cat behind, and he knew how to let himself in!

My BIL has a sister and niece that has 5 kids that live in Gaffney. This is really scary. If I lived alone I would have a dog and a gun. I don't live a lone and I have a 9mm beside my bed and three Chihuahua's in my house. Talk about an alarm system!!!
 
Ok, better safe then sorry! please be careful!

I had someone knock on my window at midnight! thought it was my hubby home from work and we once again locked him out. My daughter thank god didn't open the door, she ran in my room and hid with me. hubby came home, found nothing but next day 3 neighbors had the same thing happen that night.

that is the one moment i wished i had a gun! I don't like hand guns for very personal reasons but a 38 would have been nice!
