TOO FUNNY!!!! Great guinea article

OMG!!! I have 30 four week old keets. I got them hoping for pest control and the occassional dinner. But is this my fate? My mother, who grew up with guineas, only shook her head and sighed. I plan on introducing them to the chicken coop at 6 weeks. How long before I can let them out? As I have a lot of space, noise isn't an issue. From what I have read, they like white millet. Could they be conditioned with millet once a day, say in the evening, to get them to come home to roost? I have not made an attemt to make pets out of them but it seems that they are beginning to recognize me and relate me to food and water. Should I start giving a treat now or later?

Great article! I just know that's what they're saying!

Not sure about millet, mine love scratch. I give it to them every day at dusk. My youngest was 4 months when I got them, so I don't know about feeding them scratch or millet that young. If you don't get a response here start another thread.

It was a humorous article, but scary, as I plan on returning to guineas in the spring and I really don't want to end up with their success. Makes me feel like only allowing them in the fenced in and canopied areas of the yard.
