My 16 day old chicks are sleeping with their wings puffed out away from their bodies.
They are not panting and are spread out all over the brooder. I don't know the exact temp (took someone elses's advice to just watch them) but last time I had it in there it was about 85. I have moved the light up a couple of inches since then. They never liked it as hot as the books said. I guess they didn't read the manual
They seem fine except for this. Are they too hot or just sleeping/relaxing?
I've been watching them for awhile and one of the chicks keeps pointing her head up and opening her beak up very wide. Kind of like yawning. Looks strange. Is she ok?
