Too late to move broody?

I have a broody on day 19. For various personal reasons, I couldn't get her moved before. She's in a nesting area a good three feet above the ground. I'm afraid of chicks falling down. I'm putting a camera out there today, just in case.

This hen (and her sister) have always hatched on day 25. I don't know why, but they do.

Is it too late to move her and her eggs? I have a separate snap coop where my mama hens raise their chicks apart from the main coop. I really want her in there but am afraid of hurting the eggs this late in the game.

Thanks for the advice. It's much to appreciated.

I wouldn't move her. They graft to the nest, not the eggs. Just wait until they hatch, then made a nest on the ground in the corner of your coop and they should be fine if your hen is experienced.

My hens stay in a maternity ward inside the coop. The flock can see her and she can see them. During the actual hatch and about 5 to 7 days after, I keep the door to the ward closed. Then I open it and let her decide if she's ready to leave. But they generally wander around the coop/run setup and stay close to the structure when they do go outside but gradually go further with the flock as the chicks grow.

Thank you! I'll get the camera installed and focused on her today so I can move them after hatching. She's one of my two Black Breasted Red Phoenix and they've both been absolutely wonderful broodies and moms.

The hatchlings just stay there for a day without falling?
I ended up moving everyone when the chicks were two days old. They did great and are five weeks old now.
